Former Penn State Football standout, and current Green Bay Packers Star Adrian Amos remains among the NFL’s highest-rated safeties.

Amos, 29, is coming off a 2021 campaign in which he produced a career-high 93 total tackles and intercepted two passes.

Not only was Amos instrumental in leading the Green Bay Packers to a first-round bye this past season, but according to Pro Football Focus, the former Nittany Lions‘ stalwart is the highest-rated safety in the NFL’s highest-rated safety since 2018.

Part of Amos’ steadiness is the fact that he is consistently dominant. According to PFF, Amos had a missed-tackle rate of just 6.1 last season.

In addition to continually improving as a tackler, Amos remains a stalwart in coverage, holding opponents to just 9.9 yards per reception when targeted.

Playing alongside Darnell Savage, Amos forms one of the league’s more formidable safety duos.

“Some things are unsaid,” safeties coach Ryan Downard said recently, via Sports Illustrated. “From a coaching standpoint, we always say we want you to communicate, we want you to signal. We’ve got to be on the same page. If you two guys are on the same page, now we can echo it to your side of the field. It’s just like a relationship. They’ve been together for so long they can look at each other and they know what the other one’s thinking because they’ve been in that position hundreds of times together.”
