Over the past several weeks, Penn State Hockey has been teasing pieces of a new uniform over various social media platforms. Monday, the program offered up the big reveal.
Sponsored by Nike, like always, the Nittany Lions‘ new jerseys include a navy-blue helmet with the old school Nittany lion statue logo, keeping the football stripe tradition to the home and away blue and whites.

The Nittany Lions also have been wearing parts of the new jersey almost since the beginning of the season, featuring white gloves with a grey cuff and navy-blue lettering.
For avid hockey fans out there, the format reminds me of the classic Montreal Canadians stripe down the middle, and stripe on the socks to match. The primary colors include grey, with touches of blue and white and a straight-across word logo.
I am a huge fan of new jerseys, and personally think Penn State Hockey always makes some very clean stuff.
These new alternate uniforms will officially be dropped on January 21st, so a possible debut to wear them could be against Michigan for the January 27th to 28th series.
