“Penn State Standing Out” Nittany Lions’ Top Athlete Target Talks Recruitment [EXCLUSIVE]
Penn State Football’s class of 2027 prospects are beginning to crop up.
One of those prospects is Pennsylvania’s Logan Steele.
Steele is an athlete that plays all over the field, but he projects as a Safety or a slot receiver currently. This week, Steele talked with NittanyCentral about his recruitment.
Penn State “Standing out”
Steele holds offers from Penn State, Ole Miss, Bowling Green, James Madison, and a few others. Additionally he has interest from West Virginia, Virginia Tech, and a few others.
The Nittany Lions find themselves in a good place, for Steele, though.
“As of right now, I have visited a couple of pretty big schools.” Steele told NittanyCentral. “But the school that has stood out to me the most so far is definitely Penn State.”
Steele says head coach James Franklin and staff go out of their way to make a strong impression on the prospects they’re looking to bring into the program.
“I like many things about Penn State,” Steele says. “However, my favorite thing has to be the way the coaches treat all of the kids. And the energy is then put towards the kids, making them enjoy their time with the coaches a lot more.”
Logan Steele Has Plans for Upcoming Fall
The Pennsylvania native plans to return to Happy Valley this fall.
Steele also has his eyes on a state championship.
“I will be visiting them often.” Steele said regarding the Nittany Lions. “…And will also be at the Penn State vs Oregon Whiteout game.”
As his recruitment continues, Steele has an idea of a timeline for his recruitment. “I would like my decision to have been made by the end of my junior year.” He said. “And hopefully be signed and preparing for the college of my choice by my senior year.” This path has been what most recruits tend to do so they can enjoy their senior year and get the decision over with.

As for his next two prep football seasons, Steele has a big goal in mind.
“Only going into my junior year now,” Steele says. “I would love to make a run for the state championship in both my junior and senior year. But I would also like to grow as a player and learn more about the game and how I can make it easier for myself on the field.”
