Penn State Football Closer to Beaver Stadium Renovations | Nittany Lions Digest

Penn State Football is taking another step towards making major renovations to Beaver Stadium a reality.

On May 21, Penn State will be in front of the Board Of Trustees in search of approval for the Beaver Stadium upgrade proposal set to cost approximately $200 million.

Under the plans, Penn State will upgrade the west side of the stadium, adding luxury boxes and other modern features with at least one eye trained on hosting future College Football Playoff games.

It was another news-filled week for the Nittany Lions, and here are some of the notable highlights in this week’s Nittany Lion Digest:

Both Penn State Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse Teams make the NCAA Tournament

The Men’s team will do battle with Georgetown on Sunday, May 12 at 2:30 PM on ESPNU in Round 1.
Meanwhile, the Men’s Final Four is at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on May 25 and 27, while the Women’s Team does battle with James Madison in Round 1 on Friday, May 10 on ESPN+.
The Women’s Final will be held at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, North Carolina on May 24  and 26.

Penn State Lacrosse had 3 players that were taken in the 2024 PLL Draft

The PLL is the Premier Lacrosse League, and they were as follows:

Grant Haus drafted by Maryland Whipsnakes
Jack Posey drafted by Carolina Chaos

Mac Costin drafted by Denver Outlaws

Reading (Pa.) Wyomissing standout Caleb Brewer will be arriving in State College to begin his career with the Nittany Lions.

Former PSU WR Allen Robinson signed a free agent deal with the New York Giants this week.
