In a bit of good news for Penn State Football after their heartbreaking Orange Bowl loss to Notre Dame, Texas A&M transfer, TJ Shanahan has committed to the Nittany Lions Friday.
Shanahan joins fellow Texas A&M transfer Enai White, who also transferred to Penn State in December.
Potentially an immediate starter, the 6-foot-4, Shanahan started in five games in 2024 for the Aggies and played in nine. With three years of eligibility remaining, the freshman brings experience and the potential to be an anchor on the interior offensive line for the next few years.
How T.J. Shanahan Can Help Penn State Football

In 2024 Penn State allowed 20 sacks and compiled 3,237 rush yards, good for 5th in the country.
Five offensive linemen will be graduating and moving on. Shanahan was a former four-star prospect, coming out of high school, and Penn State is clearly betting on him reaching or exceeding that potential.
Head Coach James Franklin needed to add offensive linemen if he hopes to run it back next year.
