Matt Campbell has gotten the 3rd commitment of his Penn State Football tenure.
2026 Quarterback Kase Evans announced that he is committing to Matt Campbell and the Nittany Lions.
Matt Campbell Era Begins: Texas QB Kase Evans is the First Quarterback Commit

The Kase Evans File: 12,250 Yards and Elite 11 Credentials
Evans is a three-star Quarterback out of Texas.
Kase Evans was committed to Oklahoma State from June until he decommitted in September. Later in October, Evans committed to the Cyclones and signed with them in the early signing period.
During his recruitment, Evans drew offers from Oklahoma State, Iowa State, Florida Atlantic, and several more.
Evans stands 6-foot-2, 200 pounds, and the Texas gunslinger has won a lot of games throughout his high school career.
According to his X, Evans was 42-9 as a varsity starter in Lexington Texas. During that time, Evans accounted for 12,250 total yards and 129 touchdowns. Additionally, Evans garnered an invite to the Elite11 passing academy, the top Quarterback events in the recruiting calander.
Evans was released from his letter of intent on December 11th and made the quick decision to come to Happy Valley.

Could There Be More?
As Matt Campbell continues to fill out his staff, I would anticipate him bringing over several of his 2026 signees. Several players like Pete Eglitis, and a few others have already been released from their letters of intent.
Between now and Feburary, when the final signing period is, expect Penn State to land several former Iowa State signees.
