One of the bright spots for the Miami Dolphins this year was former Penn State standout, Chop Robinson.
Robinson‘s season has landed him on the list of finalists for the AP Defensive Rookie of the Year award.
The rookie linebacker/edge rusher was the 21st overall pick in the 2024 draft and has racked up 6 sacks, good for second on the team, in addition to 26 tackles and four pass deflections.
Chop Robinson’s Ascent Continues

In 2023, Robinson had 4 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, and 15 total tackles for Penn State’s defense.
Robinson stepped up big in the NFL and adjusted to the speed of the professional game under the tutelage of offensive tackle Terron Armstead and fellow edge rushers Bradley Chubb, Jaelan Phillips, and Emmanuel Ogbah.
Chop Robinson’s Defensive Rookie of the Year competition includes Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean of the Philadelphia Eagles and Braden Fiske and Jared Verse of the Los Angeles Rams.
