The One Word That Explains Why Penn State Football’s 2024 Perfect Season is Within Reach

No. 4 Penn State Football has shocked many people with its 5-0 start, and they have put themselves in a great position to make the College Football Playoff.

There is no excuse for the Nittany Lions not to make the playoffs, and there is a great chance they end the regular season with a perfect record of 12-0.

This week, Penn State faces a crucial game against USC. While initially seemed like a tough test, USC’s recent loss to a struggling Minnesota team shifted the odds in Penn State’s favor.

Penn State should be favored to win every game they play the rest of the way, but against Ohio State, the game is winnable since it is at home, and the Buckeyes have struggled there in years past but were able to pull out some magical wins, so who knows what will happen this time around.

The Nittany Lion’s hot start attracted the attention of many national reporters, one of which had great things to say.

Joel Reuter from Bleacher Report published an article 1 Word for Every CFB Playoff Contending Team Heading into Week 7, and his one word for Penn State was Steady.

“Even with the passing game opening up a bit this year in Drew Allar‘s second year as the starting quarterback,” Reuter stated. “Penn State is still a team largely built on a strong defense and a reliable running game. They average 217.8 rushing yards per game on offense, and trail only Ohio State, Tennessee and Texas in total defense at 233.2 yards allowed per contest. Just good, steady football putting them on a safe path to a playoff berth.”

Steady is a great way to describe this Penn State team.

They have done everything they have been expected to do this season and have handled business in every game they play.

If they do that the rest of the way, they will finish with an 11-1 record at worst and be in the college football playoffs.
