Penn State Football’s ‘Commit Weekend’ Set to Shape 2026 Recruiting Class
This weekend is affectionately known by Penn State Football fans as “commit weekend.”
The time when as many of Penn State‘s class of 2026 commitments officially visit as they can. This year’s visit list is loaded.
With last weekend being Memorial Day weekend, there were no official visits. However, the official visit gauntlet is now set to ramp up.
Previewing Penn State Football ‘Commits Weekend’
Penn State Football’s 2026 Uncommitted Prospects visiting Happy Valley
Right now, Penn State is set to host 20 players this weekend.
Of those 20, only 4 are uncommitted prospects. This weekend could be a huge step for Penn State to improve its chances with all four uncommitted prospects.
The first prospect in New Jersey is Offensive Lineman Marlen Bright. Penn State Football looks like they are in a really good spot with Bright. He took officials to Syracuse, West Virginia, and Illinois before ending that tour with Happy Valley. That timing seems very favorable for Penn State. Bright is one I have circled for this weekend.
Another key couple of uncommitted names slated to visit are Linebackers Rodney Colton and Kosi Okpala.

Both Colton and Okpala are well outside of Penn State’s usual recruiting footprint, so landing them will be a tall order. However, it is not impossible, the Nittany Lions need to add a third Linebacker.
For Colton, Penn State, Ole Miss, and UCLA all seem to be in the mix. He has been pretty open about that. I don’t have as much of a read on Okpala, though. He is a wildcard in my eyes. This visit could possibly swing him toward Penn State, but I would be surprised if the Nittany Lions were able to pull the lone star standout.
The last uncommitted prospect is Offensive Lineman, Marky Walbridge. Opposite of Marlen Bright, Walbridge begins his official visit tour with Penn State. He follows that visit up with Wisconsin, Boston College, and Michigan. Walbridge has been tough to get in touch with, but, I would be surprised if he ends up as a member of Penn State’s class of 2026.
Nittany Lions’ Top Committed Prospects in Happy Valley for June, 2025 Visit

Penn State Football is slated to host 16 of its 17 commits.
The lone commit not making the trip is Linebacker, Terry Wiggins. I don’t think him not coming is anything to worry about. He appears locked in with Penn State right now.
The value in a weekend like this is extremely high for Penn State. These are future Nittany Lion stars, so getting them on campus on the same weekend to build chemistry and a bond is huge. This could pay dividends in the future. Plus, in the ever-changing world of college football, you can never stop recruiting players. Even the commits need to stay committed until signing day.
This is a packed weekend for Penn State Football, and they will look to keep up their recruiting hot streak.
