This weekend, Penn State Football hosted a few prospects. One of those prospects was former Iowa State signee, Elijah Reeder. Today, Reeder took to social media to announce his commitment to Penn State.
Reeder is a 6’4, 210 pound three star out of Central Regional High School in New Jersey. During his elite senior year there, he recorded eight sacks, 50 total tackles, 19 tackles for loss, and a forced fumble.
Throughout his recruitment, Reeder collected offers from Missouri, Iowa State, and Penn State. Ultimately, Matt Campbell and Edge Rusher Coach Christian Smith were able to fully win him over.

Elijah Reeder: Penn State’s Next Elite Edge Rusher
Elijah Reeder’s tape pops. He has tremendous size, and he has the ability to chase down players in space. It is quite impressive for a guy his size. He may need to add some weight to be able to hold his own in the Big Ten, but when he does, look out.
Out of all of the 2026 Iowa State signees that Matt Campbell brought to Penn State, Reeder probably has the highest ceiling. His game is similar to TJ Watt’s in the way he bends and gets after the Quarterback. Obviously, Reeder has a long way to go to reach TJ Watt status, but that is the comparison.
Penn State getting Reeder over the finish line is a huge win for the class of 2026.
