‘Family is a very big thing for me’ 2027 Abraham Sesay Describes Penn State’s Family Feel [EXCLUSIVE]
Amidst Penn State Football’s stacked group of Edge Rusher targets is in-state product Abraham Sesay.
Strangely enough, Sesay is the Nittany Lions‘ only in-state offer at the Edge Rusher position. The 6-foot-4, 210-pounder was kind enough to discuss his recruitment with NittanyCentral.
Although Sesay’s Recruitment is Early, Penn State is in the Mix
“My recruitment is still very, very early.” Sesay told NittanyCentral. “I’m not closing in on anyone or anything. I’m keeping things very open.”
Abraham Sesay continued to say which schools have been showing him love recently. “Of course Penn State, Syracuse, Duke, Rutgers. Schools like that. Wisconsin has been showing me lots of love.”
Regarding Penn State, Sesay hit on some key elements that make the Nittany Lions stand out to him.
“I just love their tradition and their family.” The Downingtown native stated. “Whenever you think of Penn State, you already have that figure in your head. So, it’s just great being able to one day, possibly have an opportunity to be a part of that.”

What is Abraham Sesay Looking for in a College Program?
As Sesay’s recruitment continues, he has a set wishlist for his eventual destination.
“[I] Really just [want] somewhere I can develop as a man.” Sesay said. “Also as a football player, but also as a man. A place where I’m just able to be a part of them as a family. Family is a very big thing for me. So just being a part of a team and a program that is a family and is tight knit. [One] that has all the original traditional morals and values as a team.”
Sesay detailed what he means by that. “…Rather than in and out, transfer portal type of stuff. Being a part of a program that is truly a family is very important to me.”
The question for Sesay and for the Nittany Lions then becomes: Does Penn State possess that family characteristic within the program? Well, Abraham Sesay certainly sees it. “They’re definitely one of the schools that I’m interested in that have that type of family oriented program.” Sesay said. “Everybody there has a smile on their face… Everybody there is tight knit and wants to be around eachother.”
Abraham Sesay’s recruitment is still young, but Penn State should be involved for a long time.
