“Penn State Has Been Special” Top 2027 OL Carter Jones Talks Recruitment
Virginia native, Carter Jones is one of Penn State Football’s many key recruits along the Offensive Line in the class of 2027. Jones is rated as an ON3 Industry 4-star. Recently, NittanyCentral was able to catch up with Jones to talk about his recruitment and upcoming season.

Carter Jones Looks for Right Fit
With offers from a plethora of schools, the Virginia native walked me through what he likes about some of his top choices.
Jones had this to say about Penn State. “What I like about Penn state is the culture and it’s amazing fan base. I also really like their coaches who I have built a big relationship with.” Jones continued on. “Penn state has been special ever since I first went up there. I really think that coach Traut is an incredible coach and has sent many guys to the NFL. So Penn state is definitely a school I want to see more of and continue to be recruited by.”
Another school in the mix for Jones is Clemson. “I like Clemson because of their culture. I have built a very good relationship with their coaches.” Said the Poquoson Virginia product.
Additionally, his home state school of Virginia is involved. “I like Virginia because my grandfather played there. I’ve always been growing up in Charlottesville and have built a great relationship the coaches.” Jones said.
What is the biggest thing Carter Jones is looking for in his recruitment? “The most important thing for my recruitment is the culture of the team and how much they respect their coaches.” Jones said.

Jones Aims to “Be Relentless” in Upcoming Junior Season
As the rising Juniors in the class of 2027 inch closer to football season, Carter Jones has his sites set on a massive year.
“Our team is looking good this year.We were a young team last year, now everyone has some experience.” Jones told NittanyCentral. “A goal I have for the team is to go 15-0 and be relentless.”
For himself, Jones has high expectations. “A goal I have for my self is to become an All American. Another goal I have is to get 100 pancakes for the season.”
