“The Visit was Great” Top 2027 WR Target Iveon Lewis Details What Penn State Must Do to Land Him

In the midst of a super busy official visit weekend, Penn State Football hosted a key 2027 prospect.

Virginia native, Iveon Lewis visited State College over the weekend, and the Wide Receiver seemed to enjoy his time with the Nittany Lions.

“The visit was great.” Lewis told NittanyCentral. “You know the facility was amazing in person, and great hospitality.” Lewis went on to talk about the different coaches he talked to. “I was talking to Mark Dupuis and Naz Oliver. Their message was that they really like what I do and definitely want me to get up there more.”

Lewis Describes What Penn State Fotball Must Do For Him

The Virginia product, Iveon Lewis, is a priority for Penn State in the class of 2027. He described what he is looking for in a school and what Penn State must do to land his services.

“Great development, great coaching, and the offensive scheme has to fit my WR traits,” Lewis said, describing what he is looking for in a school. “The culture in the locker room is a major part in it too, and I want to compete for the national championship.”

A lot of these things are things that fit the description of Penn State Football.

“To have  great coaches that I can build a relationship with and an offensive style that fits my game,” Lewis said, describing what he is looking for Penn State to do to close him.

Lewis and the Nittany Lions’ relationship could pay off down the road.

Examining Iveon Lewis’ Skill Set

I asked Lewis to describe himself as a player. He had a very clear answer in mind.

“To me,” Lewis explained. “I am a deep threat. You know I love to go deep, love the jump ball, and I take in passion in blocking.”

All three of those things are traits in an elite Penn State wideout.

At 6-2, 180, Iveon Lewis could eventually become the second Wide Receiver in the 2027 class. Currently, Khalil Taylor is Penn State’s lone 2027 Wide Receiver. The Penn State staff and Lewis will continue to work to build on their already strong relationship.
