2027 Olu Olubobola Gets Message of “Growth and Progression” From James Franklin
Penn State Football is now only seven Saturdays away. As the offseason winds down, we continue to keep you in the loop with the latest recruiting news. Recently, 2027 standout Offensive Lineman, Oluwasemilore “Olu” Olubobola talked with NittanyCentral about his recruiting process.
Power Teams Emerging for Olubobola
The ON3 Industry 4-star Olu Olubobola has several elite scholarship offers.
“I’m hearing from OU, Ohio State, Penn State, Wisconsin, Texas…” Olubobola said. All of those schools have offered the New Jersey prep standout. Olubobola not only has Penn State Football interested, but also some of the nations other premier programs.
Regarding Ohio State Olubobola said, “It’s a really nice school and they have a history of winning. So, it’s something I’m very interested in.”
Olu Olubobola hasn’t had a chance to visit the Longhorns yet, but he is impressed with them. “…I know they have a very strong O-Line.” Olubobola said. “They just drafted a really good O-Line. So, I wanna go down there just to visit and see a lot of stuff about Texas.”
What stands out to Olubobola about Penn State? “The way they coach.” Olubobola stated. “The culture they have and they’re always competing. It’s a great atmosphere.”

Coach Franklin’s Message to Olu Olubobola
Coming from New Jersey, Olubobola made it to camp in early June. He said he enjoyed the experience and even got to chat with Head Coach, James Franklin.
Franklin gave him a promising message. “He said that I was very good.” Olubobola said. “He wants to see me grow and progress.”
Additionally, Coach Phil Trautwein was able to give Olubobola some helpful pointers. Olubobola described it this way. “It was just nice getting coached by the O-Line coach. Just getting to see the type of drills they have that I can learn from.”
The New Jersey native is not yet close to reaching a decision. But, being one of Penn State’s most wanted targets in the class of 2027 means that the Nittany Lions will continue recruiting Olubobola very hard.
