“It’s Like Home” | 4-Star LB Rodney Colton Reacts to Penn State Football Official Visit [EXCLUSIVE]

This weekend, Penn State Football hosted more tha 20 official visitors.

The main focus was on the committed players, building their chemistry, and talking NIL numbers. This marked a big weekend for the Nittany Lions.

However, there were four uncommitted prospects on official visits as well. Four-star Linebacker, Rodney Colton was one of them.

The Georgia defender took time to chat about the official visit with NittanyCentral. He needed just three words to describe the weekend.

“It’s like home,” Colton said from the jump.

Colton Feels at Home in Happy Valley

Despite a crowded visitor weekend, the Nittany Lions made a strong impression and made State College feel like home, Colton pointed out.

“I loved it up there ain’t gone lie.” Said Rodney Colton. “It’s like home. Everywhere I go, I try to make sure it’s like home, so I can say it’s like home. But when we walked out after I was taking my OV pics… I felt it.”

Colton went on to describe that feeling further. “I felt it. That was like the most interesting part about it, like, LBU up there, that’s a different story.”

The four-star Georgia native has Penn State Football pushing for him, UCLA pushing, Tennessee, and others racing for his talent.

Colton clearly feels comfortable in Happy Valley though. Time will tell as to where Colton will take his talents.

Colton Aims to Make Early Impact

During his most recent trip to Happy Valley, Colton was able to get some valuable face time with Penn State head coach James Franklin, as the Lions made a push to seal the deal.

“We sat in his office and talked to him (Coach Franklin) about like how I would fit in the defense,” Colton said. “I’m coming in to take somebody’s spot. I ain’t like all the ‘aw that’s my little buddy’. Nah, he’s my buddy outside of football, but in football, I don’t know about all that.”

Rodney Colton finished that thought. “On the field, it’s a different story. I’m telling you.” Colton said this in regards to how he feels like he can come into college and make a day one impact.

I asked Colton what his favorite part of the visit was. His response was simple. “The photo shoot.”

Penn State Football will compete against other top schools to land Colton. However, it seems like Colton enjoyed his visit to Happy Valley. He will officially visit Florida State, Ole Miss, and Colorado before making a decision at some point.
