Penn State Football and Matt Campbell will just got a major announcement. Linebacker Tony Rojas announced that he is staying for his senior season.
This comes as a huge win in Matt Campbell’s efforts to retain the current roster.

The Rojas File
Tony Rojas was a highly regarded prep player out of Virginia. He ultimately chose the Nittany Lions in the class of 2023. Upon arriving, Rojas flashed in his first year with 21 tackles. In his sophomore campaign, Rojas notched 58 tackles, a sack, and 3 interceptions in his first year as a starter. He provided one of the more iconic moments in Penn State’s 2024 season when he nabbed a pick 6 against SMU.
In Rojas’s third season as a Nittany Lion, he looked poised to break out. Sadly, after the Oregon game Rojas went down with a season ending injury. Thus far, Rojas has logged 104 total tackles, 3 sacks, and 4 interceptions in his Penn State career.
Keeping Rojas will only help D’Anton Lynn and Matt Campbell. Rojas is a freak athlete who will help anchor the defense and could also peer recruit other players to stay. Amare Campbell is the next player to circle for an announcement.
