Penn State Football has gone a bit quiet on the recruiting trail, but that shouldn’t be the case much longer.
The Nittany Lions are in the thick of it for two elite defensive tackles, and both will be making their decision this weekend.
The first is high 4-star Liam Andrews, who will announce on Friday. The other finalists for the top 100 recruit are Wisconsin and South Carolina.
This is certainly not the average top three for a New England recruit, but that’s the case with Andrews.

Listed at 6-foot-5 and 260 pounds, Andrews would be a massive get for first-year defensive line coach Deion Barnes.
The other defensive is literally massive as T.A. Cunningham from Florida is listed at 6-foot-6 and 275 pounds.
The 4-star will announce on Saturday and his other finalists include Miami, Oklahoma, Michigan and Texas A&M. The hometown team, Miami, looks like the biggest threat for the Nittany Lions.
Why Penn State Football Can Close with Liam Andrews, T.A. Cunningham
Optimism should be high amongst Penn State Football fans for both big-time recruits.
Especially considering recruiting experts from 247 Sports and On3 have submitted predictions in favor of the Nittany Lions for both players this week.
Penn State already has two defensive tackles committed in 3-stars Xavier Gilliam and De’Andre Cook, but landing Andrews and Cunningham would take this defensive tackle haul to the next level, something the team sorely needs in order to keep up with Ohio State and Michigan.
