Penn State Football Recruiting: Full 2026 Offensive Breakdown After Spring Practices
Penn State Football just put the concluding exclamation point on a very successful spring football season.
Saturday, the Blue-White inter-squad scrimmage was the last of 15 very important spring practices for the Nittany Lions. Not only did the spring football season allow the current Nittany Lions to improve their game, it also meant more exposure for recruits.
During spring practices, recruits are permitted to come to campus, watch practice, meet with coaches and a variety of other things. These unofficial visits are very valuable. In fact, Penn State has found itself fortunate enough to have landed two offensive players during spring football.
With spring ball wrapped up and camp season just around the corner, here the outlook at every offensive position in the class of 2026
2026 Quarterback
The Commit(s): Troy Huhn, Peyton Falzone
The Prospect(s): None
This outlook is pretty simple.
Penn State Football has elected to take two Quarterbacks for the first time since the class of 2022, when Drew Allar and Pribula both signed with the Nittany Lions.
Troy Huhn has been fully committed to Penn State since last June. Huhn is locked in with Penn State. From all the way on the West Coast, Huhn has been faithful to Penn State. He even made the trip to State College for a few days to watch spring practice.
In addition to Huhn, Peyton Falzone rounds out the Quarterbacks currently committed to Penn State. Falzone announced his commitment earlier this month and looks to be locked in on Penn State as well. He had to work very hard to earn the Penn State offer as a Quarterback. His hard work paid off and Falzone completes the Quarterback room for the class of 2026.
With Penn State holding two Quarterback pledges, there simply is not room for a third. Hence, the “None” title in the prospects category.
So, there is no way that Penn State adds a third Quarterback.
However, if for some reason Huhn or Falzone backed off of their commitment, Penn State would probably try to find a replacement. Gavin Sidwar, a recent Missouri commit, would probably be the first guy to get a call in that scenario. However, I just cannot see any possible way that either of Troy Huhn or Peyton Falzone backs off of their commitment. So, the class of 2026 Quarterback recruiting is essentially already wrapped up.

2026 Running Back
The Commit(s): Messiah Mickens
The Prospect(s): Brian Bonner
Penn State Football’s class of 2026 began with Messiah Mickens.
Mickens committed back in August of 2023. Fast forward to May of 2025 and Mickens’ journey has not been without a few bumps in the road.
Namely, when Running Back Coach, JaJuan Seider left Penn State to take the Notre Dame job. Mickens briefly showed interest in the Fighting Irish, but the Nittany Lions were quickly able to get Mickens to shut down his recruitment.
The other major prospect at Running Back is California native, Brian Bonner.
As things stand now, Bonner is the only other Running Back scheduled for an official visit not named Messiah Mickens. Obviously, geography says the chances aren’t good for Bonner to Penn State. But, Bonner released a top 5 and Washington and UCLA were the only West Coast teams on the list. Bonner could very well head east to play college football.
If Penn State swings and misses on Bonner, there is no need to panic.
Mickens alone is a good enough Running Back haul.
However, it will be interesting to see how Stan Drayton would play that scenario. It is possible he could turn to in state Running Backs Kyshawn Robinson, Sy’eer Coleman, or go an entirely different route and maybe try to flip a wild card prospect from a different school.
Penn State is in a great spot for Running Back in the class of 2026, no matter what happens with Brian Bonner.

2026 Wide Receiver
The Commit(s): Jahsiear Rogers, Lavar Keys
The Prospect(s): Davion Brown, Travis Johnson, Messiah Hampton, Hayden Moore (Minnesota commit)
If you don’t know the name already, get used to it: Jahsiear Rogers.
Both Rogers and DMV star, Lavar Keys makeup the current Wideout class. Both of these players are underrated as prospects. Keys played a crucial role in Dematha Catholic’s run to win the WCAC. Rogers is probably one of the most underrated prospects in the country period. He is a freak athlete and is as smooth as butter when running his routes. Penn State is getting a steal in both Keys and Rogers.
On top of Keys and Rogers, Penn State would like to add one or two more receivers to the class of 2026. Four central targets have emerged amongst the rest of the pack. Travis Johnson, Davion Brown, Hayden Moore and Messiah Hampton are all planning on taking official visits to Penn State this summer. Hampton, Johnson, and Brown have been on Penn State’s radar for a while now, but Golden Gopher commit Hayden Moore is a name that has popped up recently. He is one to keep an eye on when he makes the trip to Happy Valley this summer.
For Hampton, his recruitment has blown up. Truth be told, Penn State is probably looking at an uphill battle for Hampton. They are not out, but certainly not the team to beat right now. Oregon looks like Penn State’s toughest competition right now.
Travis Johnson is a big bodied receiver that Penn State would love to add. The Virginia native will take an official visit to Penn State as well as Michigan, Georgia, Virginia Tech, and others. With Georgia’s level of interest in question, Penn State and Michigan seem to be the teams to keep an eye on for Johnson.
The fourth Wide Receiver target to get to know, is Davion Brown. Brown is also from Virginia and just took a visit to State College about a week ago, days before the spring game. Brown has been a tough one to read this cycle. Georgia, Penn State, Michigan and Virginia Tech are the teams for Brown right now. Penn State is right in the mix and Brown will be on campus for an official visit in June.
2026 Tight End
The Commit(s): None
The Prospect(s): Mack Sutter, Luke Sorensen, Pierce Petersohn
With Penn State Football taking 4 Tight Ends in the class of 2025, they are probably willing to be more selective this cycle. Penn State is slowly becoming one of the top schools in the country for Tight Ends. Tyler Warren being drafted on night one last week will only help the Nittany Lions.
The three names to follow at Tight End are Mack Sutter, Luke Sorensen, and Pierce Petersohn. All three have official visits set up. I would envision Penn State taking two of these players. Honestly, if they get the right guy, they may only end up taking one.

Mack Sutter is probably at the top of the Tight End board. The Illinois native’s recruitment will come down to Penn State, Illinois, Alabama, Ole Miss, and Ohio State. I fully expect Sutter to take all of his official visits before making any sort of announcement.
Another Tight End with interest from Penn State is California standout, Luke Sorensen.
Sorensen was on campus for a spring practice in mid April. He will go all over for his official visits. Penn State will remain in the mix with Sorensen but I wouldn’t bet on him being a Nittany Lion.
The final Tight End to monitor is Pierce Petersohn. He is a relatively new prospect for Penn State. Petersohn has official visits lined up for Penn State, Minnesota, and Iowa State. Time will tell where Petersohn ends up and truthfully, I am not entirely sure where Penn State stands on him, but I would anticipate Penn State having a good shot with Petersohn.

2026 Offensive Line
The Commit(s): Kevin Brown, Roseby Lubintus
The Prospect(s): Grayson McKeogh, Jack Fuchs, Benjamin Eziuka, Darius Gray, Immanuel Iheanacho, Johnnie Jones, Carter Scruggs, Drew Evers, Bryce Gilmore, Tavian Branch, Leo Delaney, Marky Walbridge
That is a lot of names. Penn State will likely take 4-5 Offensive linemen in total.
Clearly, that leaves a lot of things to shake out between now and signing day. So, let’s break the Offensive Line recruiting down.
The first two Offensive Linemen are Immanuel Iheanacho and Darius Gray. Both of these prospects, are relatively long shots for the Nittany Lions. However, they are the type of talent that Penn State will not pass up. So, if Iheanacho or Gray like Penn State after their official visit and things heat up, Penn State will take either one no matter how many Linemen are committed.
Grayson McKeogh is probably the most talented Offensive Line prospect that Penn State is currently in a good spot for. McKeogh made it up to campus last week and loved it. At this juncture, I would say the battle for McKeogh will be between Notre Dame and Penn State.
The rest of the Offensive Linemen listed are in the mix. Penn State will probably land at least one or two of them. I’m just not sure which ones. Fuchs, Eziuka, Jones, Scruggs, Evers, Gilmore, Branch, Walbridge, and Delaney are all slated to officially visit Penn State this summer. Delaney is set to announce his commitment in July. Branch is a strong in state prospect. Fuchs has family ties to Penn State. The point being, Penn State is in the mix for most of these prospects, we just need more time to sort out who goes where and how things will look.
