The hustle and bustle of the transfer portal period rages on for Penn State Football. The Nittany Lions have added 28 new players via the portal, while head coach Matt Campbell‘s program has lost 44 to the portal, and have retained 29 players. Over the weekend, Penn State landed three transfer portal additions.
One of which is former Syracuse Cornerback, Ibn McDaniels.
The “Lockdown U” Legacy: Ibn McDaniels’ First-Round Ambition

Recently, McDaniels talked to NittanyCentral about why he chose Penn State and what his goals are as a Nittany Lion.
“I chose Penn State because I want to be surrounded by draft guys and winners.” McDaniels said. “What stood out the most is that this will be their ninth year in a row with a Penn State corner getting drafted. Why wouldn’t you want to be a part of that if you’re in my situation?”
Ibn McDaniels was quick to praise Matt Campbell.
“Coach Campbell is a great guy,” McDaniels said. “He is heading in a good direction with this program. He is more for the players, such as looking out for them, he says his door is always open to talk or just hang out.”

But what will McDaniels bring to the Nittany Lions when he officially moves in this week?
“I’m a relentless competitor with a high motor, and I’m always ready to go,” McDaniels told NittanyCentral. “My personal goals while being at Penn State are to leave with a degree and be a first-round draft pick.”
McDaniels has his sights set high and will look to impact the defensive backfield in year one with Penn State.
