Penn State Football has gotten more good news. Former Iowa State Tight End, Benjamin Brahmer announced his commitment to Penn State.
As a recruit, Brahmer chose Matt Campbell and the Cyclones over Nebraska.
Brahmer is rated as the second best Tight End in the trasnfer portal by 247Sports. Brahmer finished his Junior season with the Cyclones and will play his final year of college football with the Nittany Lions.

The Brahmer File
Over his 3-year Cyclone career, Brahmer has caught 75 passes for 977 yards and 9 touchdowns. He burst on the scene as a freshman in 2023 with 28 catches and 352 yards. His sophomore campaign got off to a solid start before he got injured in the 5th game of the year.
Most recently in 2025, Brahmer reeled in 37 catches for 446 yards and 6 touchdowns.
At 6’7, 255 pounds, Brahmer has a huge frame. Additionally, the Nebraska native was a Wide Receiver coming out of high school, and it shows. Brahmer is definitely more of a receiving Tight End on film. He has tremendous ball skills and can high-point balls to make contested catches.
Once Brahmer gets the ball in his hands, he isn’t elusive or super dynamic, but he gets what’s there. Which, for a Tight End is about all you can ask for. Just make contested catches and get what’s there. Brahmer will pair nicely with Andrew Rappleyea atop the Nittany Lions’ Tight End room.
