As the transfer portal opens, head coach Matt Campbell and his staff have been super busy. Several players have announced their decisions to return to Penn State Football, leave Penn State, and several others have arranged visits to Happy Valley.
Friday, Iowa State transfer Offensive Lineman, Vaea Ikakoula got offered by Campbell.
The former Cyclone was kind enough to talk to NittanyCentral about the opportunity.
“I feel honored to be considered to be given the chance to come to Penn State.” The 6-3, 355 pound Utah product tells NittanyCentral. “It is such a prestigious program, and I would be honored to play for such a great program.”

Ikakoula went onto describe his transfer portal process.
“My portal recruitment right now is not too crazy,” Ikakoula revealed. “Currently I am only looking at Penn State.”
The freshman who appeared in two games for the Cyclones also noted that he would like to make a decision sooner rather than later.
Ikakoula also touched on what it’s like to play for Matt Campbell. “Playing under Campbell is nothing short of amazing,” Ikakoula said. “He is someone who makes sure every player on the roster is treated like one of his own kids.”
Vaea Ikakoula tells NittanyCentral that he will visit Penn State on Saturday.
