No. 1 ranked Penn State Wrestling completely crushed the Drexel Dragons Friday evening on the road in Philly.
From start to finish it was yet another butt-whooping for the Nittany Lions. Drexel simply had no answers for Cael Sanderson’s stacked lineup in the 43-3 blowout.

And look, this was a Drexel Wrestling team that “only” had two ranked guys coming into the dual meet. So the results were not exactly “surprising”.
However it is worth noting that Drexel did sit one of their ranked guys at 197.
Moreover, yes, I do like using quotation marks.
Now onto the dual meet.
Penn State Wrestling vs. Drexel FULL RESULTS
Keeping with that, this recap isn’t going to be the most hard-hitting summary of all-time.
Furthermore, dual meets like this for Penn State Wrestling are meant for the guys to work up a sweat, hone their moves/technique, and get a break from having to beat themselves and their teammates up in the wrestling room.
About the only item to note was that Aaron Nagao was not in the starting lineup. This is on the heels of his injury during the finals of the Black Knight Invite a couple of weeks ago. No word on the severity of Nagao’s injury. But as always, not much news comes out of the Penn State Wrestling room in situations like this.
Cael Nasdeo filled in for Nagao and while he dropped an 8-5 decision, he wrestled a tough match.
As for the Nittany Lions dual meet this coming Sunday? That may have a bit more action and some better matchups in it.
But here’s my recap for this dual meet: Penn State Wrestling dominated and no one got hurt.
Moving on …
