Penn State Wrestling’s Levi Haines wins his second NCAA title Saturday night in Cleveland, Ohio.
With Haines’ 2-1 win over Nebraska’s Christopher Minto, the Nittany Lion all-time great wins his second NCAA title of his career. Furthermore, Penn State picks up their second NCAA title of the night inside the rocking Rocket Arena crowd.Penn State Wrestling’s Levi Haines defeated Lorenzo Norman 14-4 in Penn State’s dual meet against Stanford in the 2025 Journeymen Collegiate Wrestling Duals (12/20/25). This comes on the heels of Haines finishing third in last year’s NCAA Championships while compiling a record of 25-2.
Levi leapt to the top of the ranks quickly his true freshman year in Happy Valley. He took home the first of his four B1G titles that year and plowed his way to the 2023 NCAA finals.
Haines ultimately lost a hard fought battle in the finals, however he returned the following season and made the difficult climb to the top of the mountain. Putting together a perfect 23-0 record, Levi took home the first of his now two NCAA titles.
For his career, Haines finishes as a four-time B1G Champion and a four-time NCAA All-American.Penn State Wrestling’s Levi Haines following a match in Rec Hall. Credit – Lloyd McCully
And while this year’s Nittany Lions have done some incredible things on the map. Next year could be even more special.
Unfortunately Levi Haines is out of eligibility at Penn State. And every single Nittany Lion fan will remember what kind of incredible person he was on and off the mat.
Going back to what I just said about next year’s Nittany Lion squad. Levi Haines is the only starter who will move on.
