Penn State Wrestling is back in the giant halls of the Bryce Jordan Center Friday night as they host No. 6 Nebraska.
Even though the Nittany Lions have traveled to Iowa City and taken on both No. 15 Rutgers and No. 16 Lehigh, this home dual against the Cornhuskers may represent their toughest challenge to date. But then again when you look at the well oiled machine that is the Penn State Wrestling team, the definition of the word “challenge” changes slightly.

On paper, this dual meet could potentially have nine ranked matchups tonight.
Additionally, there could be six top-10 ranked matchups.
Now the question is this, based on how the dual meet starts out, will the Nebraska coaching staff sub out some of their starters later in the night if the Nittany Lions jump out to a huge lead? Well that’s going to be hard to answer. Mark Manning and his staff run a phenomenal program and he doesn’t sit his starters that often when facing a tough matchup.
In either case, I do believe the Penn State Wrestling fans in attendance should get to see a Blaze/Van Dee matchup as well as a Duke/Taylor matchup. And hopefully they also get to see the Haines/Minto and Welsh/Allred matchups. Because those are for sure going to be good matches.
However at the end of the night, I fully expect to still see a lopsided score on the BJC scoreboard.
