Penn State Wrestling was back in action Saturday night as they traveled to Wyoming to square off against the 28th ranked Cowboys.
And all the Nittany Lions did was completely batter Wyoming in the first eight matches of the dual. Penn State racked up two decisions, two technical falls, and four falls to ultimately rout the Cowboys 40-7 on the night.
It was yet another great showing for Penn State Wrestling as they start to turn the page towards the B1G portion of the season.

So with that, now onto the action!
Penn State Wrestling vs. Wyoming FULL RESULTS
Honestly there’s not much to say about this dual meet. Much like the dual against Drexel, this was another chance for the Nittany Lions to get some work in, while at the same time working on everything they usually do in the wrestling room.
And the results from this dual meet pretty much speak for themselves.
Yes, Wyoming is a solid wrestling team. But when compared to the juggernaut that is Penn State Wrestling, they simply can’t compete.
But there are a couple of things that came up in this dual that I’d like to note.
First and foremost was that PJ Duke got the nod again at 157. During Cael Sanderson’s weekly presser, he indicated Duke still had several “freebie” matches left on the year. Meaning that he could still wrestle a handful of matches without burning his redshirt.
So I fully expected to see Joe Sealey tonight. However, with what PJ has done on the mat so far this year, it’s hard to not make him the starter the rest of the season.
The second item to note was that Nate Desmond got the start at 141.
If you remember, it was Desmond who won the championship at 125 several weeks back at the Black Knight Invite.
So for him to bump up two weight classes and still get the win says a lot about how good he can be down the road.
The final item is more or less of a question. At some point the Penn State faithful will see Josh Barr back on the mat. But the question is when?
Connor Mirasola has filled in quite well for Barr. So well in fact that Intermat had him as the eighth ranked wrestler going into tonight.
Granted he didn’t come away with the win. But not many people do against the likes of Joey Novak.
