Pink and black, of course, were Penn State’s original color combination, from the university’s founding through the 1890 football season when the athletic department moved to the blue and white that has become one of the most recognizable uniforms in the nation.
In an effort to embrace and celebrate the rich history of the Penn State Wrestling dynasty, and add some new excitement for a conference match, the program is bringing the pink and black back.
You can check out what the new singlets will look like below:
The Penn State Basketball program has worn pink and black as an alternate uniform the past several years, and now the wrestling team is getting in on the action, in 2024.
In addition to the throwback uniforms, fans are asked to wear black, in an effort to black out the Bryce Jordan Center, flipping the script from the program’s annual White Out.
Penn state Wrestling will take on the Scarlet Knights on February 12, 2024 at 7 p.m.
