Penn State Wrestling vs. Missouri | FULL RESULTS
Penn State Wrestling completed a three-match sweep in the 2024 Journeymen Collegiate Duals by handling No. 15 Missouri 41-3.
The Nittany Lions flew down to Tennessee, they wrestled their tails off for the better part of six straight hours on Sunday, and they will be flying back to Happy Valley as champions of the 2024 Journeymen Collegiate Duals.
In the first round, Penn State throttled Binghamton 52-0. Then immediately after the conclusion of that dual, the Nittany Lions took down No. 16 Arkansas Little Rock to the tune of 44-0. And in the final matchup of the evening the Nittany Lions showed no signs of slowing down. Which is a testament to how well conditioned Penn State’s athletes are. Most of the guys looked like they were still fresh and stepping out onto the mat for the first time all day.

Look, is this year’s version of the Missouri Tigers anywhere near as good as they’ve been the past couple of seasons?
Nope.
Head Coach Brian Smith and his staff are in a bit of a rebuilding phase. Which is exactly why there’s a “No. 15” next to their team name instead of the normal top 10 ranking.
However it does help that the Tigers have one of the best pound-for-pound wrestlers in all of the nation. Everyone knew Keegan O’Toole was going to be a handful for Levi Haines, and the four-time All-American and two-time NCAA Champion took the first round.
In any case, Missouri wrestled hard and they gave it their all against the Nittany Lions. But as is the case with most programs, that’s simply not good enough to topple the kings of college wrestling.
