The New York Giants were down 20-0 at halftime and were outscored 60-0 through the first six quarters of the season. That’s when Saquon Barkley put the Giants on his back, against the Arizona Cardinals.
New York scored four touchdowns in the second half and a field goal to pull out a 31-28 win over the Arizona Cardinals.
Barkley had a hand in the comeback, scoring two of New York’s first touchdowns. Barkley rushed for 63 yards on 17 carries with a touchdown; he also caught
six passes for 29 yards and another score. He had 92 total yards from scrimmage, as a driving force behind the Giants’ comeback.
Unfortunately, after about two minutes, Barkley left with a leg injury.

Barkley’s injury serves as a dark cloud over the Giants’ comeback. He was seen slamming his helmet down on the sideline.
The Giants’ defense had a hand in the comeback as well. they forced back-to-back three out, allowing the Giants to tie the game. New York only gave up eight points in the second half to the Cardinals.
It was a huge comeback win for New York because it’s tough when starting a season 0-2, especially in a tough division.
The Giants play the San Francisco 49ers next on the road, and if they were 0-2, they would have been staring 0-3 right in the face.
So far this season, Barkley has 114 yards rushing and nine catches for 41 yards; he has two total touchdowns.
However, Barkley’s status after the injury is the biggest worry both for his outlook, and the Giants’ potential this season.
