Penn State Football opened the 2022 college football season with a Week 1 comeback win over Purdue, and now the Nittany Lions, led by quarterback Sean Clifford, cornerback Joey Porter Jr., and head coach James Franklin, turn their sights to the home opener against Ohio inside Beaver Stadium in State College, Pa. on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022 (9/10/22) in a noon kickoff on ABC.
Following fourth quarter heroics from Clifford and the offense, Penn State Football has the opportunity to iron out the kinks against a MAC opponent, at home, before the grueling stretch of the season begins next week.

Penn State Football got a glimpse of its future, against Purdue, when former five-star freshman quarterback Drew Allar came on in relief of Clifford for a series early in the first half.
After Allar completed two-of-four passing attempts for 26 yards, while looking completely comfortable in the moment, there’s little doubt the Nittany Lions would like to get Allar another look, in mop-up duty, against Ohio on Saturday.
Saturday’s game marks the sixth meeting between the programs, with Penn State Football owning a 5-1 edge. However, Ohio pulled off the upset in the most recent meeting between these teams, back in 2012.
