Penn State Wrestling: Key Nittany Lion Returning for 2025

Penn State Wrestling just received a huge announcement from one of its standout wrestlers from the 2023-2024 season.

He started his freshman campaign wrestling up a weight class and took on many seasoned veterans. After missing the NCAA’s that year, he came back his sophomore year and started to turn heads.

This time, he was an automatic qualifier for the 2022 NCAA Championships. But his run was fairly short-lived after three matches.

Then his junior year things started to click.

He was down at his native weight of 141 pounds and he rode a heater into the consolation bracket to finish in third in the 2023 NCAA’s.

He followed this up with a run to both the finals of the Big Ten Championships and the finals of the 2024 NCAA Championships. It was his second straight All-American finish, however, it wasn’t clear if he would return for his final year.

But just like that, Dan. Make no mistake about it. Beau Bartlett is … Back!!

It’s official. Beau Bartlett is giving it one more run for a shot at glory.

As I stated above in my Stugotz-like take, Beau rise in collegiate wrestling has been virtually a straight line to the top. Every single year he gets better and you can make an argument he was the most improved guy on the team.

And if Bartlett can continue to improve this off season, then I think his decision to come back for his senior year will end with his third All-American finish, his first Big Ten title, and his first ever NCAA title.

While we’re at it, just chalk up another team title next year too.
