Penn State Football got to sit back and relax in Week Three after starting the season 2-0, and even with the day off, the Nittany Lions saw themselves fall in the AP Poll.
Last week, after Penn State had to escape with a win against Bowling Green, the Nittany Lions were ranked eighth in the AP Top 25, but with no action on Saturday, Penn State fell to number 10.
Miami and Oregon jumped the Nittany Lions after the Hurricanes won at home against Ball State, and the Ducks went on the road to beat their instate rival, Oregon State.
There was a new number one this week, with Texas jumping Georgia after the Bulldogs only had a one-point win against Kentucky. The Longhorns beat up UTSA with backup quarterback Arch Manning after their starter Quinn Ewers left with an injury.
Other Big Ten teams ranked are Ohio State at three, Oregon at nine, USC at 11, Michigan at 18, Nebraska at 22, and Illinois at 24.

USC will go on the road to play Michigan this week, and Nebraska will host Illinois, so two ranked Big Ten teams will have to go down.
Penn State welcomes Kent State, which lost to Tennessee 71-0. They will be looking to get on the scoreboard.
The Nittany Lions shouldn’t worry about dropping two spots in the poll because all their games are still in front of them, and they can knock off USC and Ohio State and be ranked in the Top Five before you know it.
Penn State has done nothing wrong to drop to number ten. Other teams have played one more game than them and have looked a little better, but it could all change soon.
