2024 four-star composite running back Corey Smith out of Waukesha, Wisconsin committed to Penn State Football on Friday afternoon via twitter.
Smith is a composite four-star prospect that ranks 220th nationally and 3rd in the state of Wisconsin. Smith committed to the Nittany Lions over offers from Boston College, Notre Dame, and Michigan State, among others.
In addition to playing football, Smith runs track at Catholic Memorial high school in Wisconsin where he ran a personal best 11.10 in the 100 meter dash in 2022. With his track background, Smith should bring plenty of speed with him to Happy Valley.
Smith’s commitment brings Penn State’s 2024 class to 13 members.
Head coach James Franklin’s class now contains three of the top four prospects from the state of Wisconsin in Smith, Donovan Harbour, and Garrett Sexton, all committing in the month of April.

Franklin’s team is capitalizing on the new staff at Wisconsin’s slow start to in-state recruiting. In Penn State’s running back room, Smith will join in-state, four-star composite athlete Quinton Martin, who is expected to play running back at Penn State Football.
With 13 total members, Penn State’s 2024 recruiting class remains 5th in the country.
