Penn State Football completed the flip of 4-star wide receiver Tyseer Denmark from Oregon on Wednesday evening by officially adding him to the class in an announcement by Denmark.
Denmark was an Oregon commit since Nov. of 2022 but took an official visit to Penn State this past weekend and then reopened his recruitment on Sunday.
This is a big get for the Nittany Lions for a few reasons.

Here are three key takeaways from Penn State Football flipping Tyseer Denmark
1. First get for Marques Hagans
The first commit for new wide receivers coach Marques Hagans is a big one in Denmark.
While Denmark is from Philadelphia, his commit to Oregon did seem solid. For Hagans to be able to flip Denmark just months after taking the job at Penn State says a lot about his potential as a recruiter.
Hagans was brought in to stabilize the recruiting situation and he’s off to a hot start.
2. Penn State Football … Back in Philly
Penn State has put more effort into recruiting Philadelphia and this was another big step in the right direction.
A standout at Roman Catholic, Denmark is a big name in the football scene in Philly and now other recruits see him headed to Happy Valley. Flipping a recruit of this magnitude will definitely turn some heads in the Philly area.

3. Dominating the state
Penn State Football continues to do well with in-state recruits.
With Denmark now on board, the Nittany Lions have a commitment from the top three recruits in Pennsylvania in the 2024 cycle.
The Nittany Lions also have commitments from three other in-state recruits and could add a few more soon.
