Your Initial thoughts on Penn State vs Delaware
Delaware has never played an FBS foe ranked this high or in front of a crowd this large. That pretty much describes the degree of difficulty. Delaware is the 19th ranked team in FCS and does have the capability to exhibit some offensive firepower. But it’ll take everything the Blue Hens can muster – and a few breaks – for the outcome to even be close.

Who on Offense should Penn State be concerned about?
Delaware does have several running backs and wide receivers capable of testing the Penn State defense and making big plays. Kyron Cumby, last year’s leading rusher, started his career at Illinois and Marcus Yarns, a fourth-year back, ran for a career-high 107 yards last week and is showing potential many thought he had. Among receivers, fifth-year player Jourdan Towsend has frequently made difficult clutch catches and Chandler Harvin is a downfield threat.
Do you want Penn State and Delaware to play every year or every other year?
No. Delaware should not be playing the top teams from conferences such as the Big Ten.

Delaware has a long and storied football history, winning six national championships in the old college division, NCAA Division II and I-AA. It has long been characterized, therefore, as a mini-Penn State. It’s actually kinda shocking, being from neighboring states, they’ve never met before in football because they’ve had some healthy competitions in other sports.
