Penn State Football hosts the Michigan Wolverines on Saturday; it is a big game for both teams.
The Nittany Lions must prove they can beat a top-ten team after dropping a game to the Ohio State Buckeyes in the round a few weeks ago.
This time, the crucial game will be at home, and this is how they can get the Win:
Penn State Football Must Slow Down Blake Corum
Running back Blake Corum leads Michigan with 649 yards rushing and 16 touchdowns.
The good thing for Penn State is that they have the second-best run defense in the country, giving up only 60.6 yards per game.
Look for Penn State to concentrate on slowing down the Michigan rushing attack and try to make them one-dimensional. You can slow down the opposing rushing offense by putting eight in the box, staying disciplined in your gaps, and tackling well—the Nittany Lions’ front seven needs to be more physical than the Wolverines’ offensive line.

Putting Pressure on J.J. McCarthy
Michigan has finally got a quarterback who can put up good numbers.
J.J. McCarthy has thrown for 2,134 yards and 18 touchdowns. He has only thrown three interceptions. If Penn State can stop the run and force McCarthy to pass, it will be up to Adisa Issac and the company to pressure the quarterback. If you hit the McCarthy early it could become rattled a bit.
Contain Roman Wilson
Roman Wilson is Michigan’s leading receiver; he has 36 catches for 589 yards this season and 10 touchdowns.
It will be up to Kalen King to slow Wilson down.
King can defend but struggled against Marvin Harrison Jr. when Penn State played Ohio State.
So far this season, King has 25 total tackles and two passes defended. King gets challenged infrequently, but he better be ready to play at a high level on Saturday.
With stopping the run probably being a priority, King will be on his own against Wilson.
Expect this to be a very physical game with the top two teams in the country on defense in yards. Also, two of the top three teams in points allowed. It should be a low-scoring game, and whoever makes the most plays down the field may win.
