Penn State Football vs. Michigan to See Massive Recruiting Visit List for Nittany Lions

Penn State Football, James Franklin,

Penn State Football will host Michigan this Saturday in a battle of top ten teams.

While the game is significant for Penn State’s dwindling College Football Playoff hopes, it is also an important recruiting weekend.

Although the game is a noon kick, the atmosphere is still expected to be chaotic and make for a great recruiting experience. This will be the Nittany Lions’ last major recruiting event with the 2024 class and the last time to see many 2025 recruits until the winter.

Here are five of the biggest names expected on campus for Penn State Football vs. Michigan

4-star OL Andrew Dennis (2024)

One of Penn State’s last remaining 2024 targets is offensive lineman Andrew Dennis.

From Michigan, Dennis recently decommitted from Michigan State after the Mel Tucker fallout earlier this season. Listed at 6-foot-5 and 275 pounds, Dennis is rated as the No. 5 interior lineman in the class according to 247 Sports.

Other schools in contact with Dennis include Clemson and Illinois. The Nittany Lions will have a chance to separate themselves with a strong showing this weekend.

4-star QB Ryan Montgomery (2025)

Penn State is on the hunt for its 2025 quarterback, and could they go back to Ohio to do so? Ryan Montgomery, a 4-star quarterback from Findlay, OH will be in attendance Saturday. His brother currently plays for Ohio State, but the Buckeyes already have a QB commit in 2025.

Montgomery could join current starter Drew Allar and 2024 commit Ethan Grunkemeyer as Ohio quarterbacks to head to Happy Valley.

4-star QB Malik Washington (2025)

Another one of Penn State’s top 2025 quarterback targets Malik Washington will be at the game.

The 6-foot-4 Malik Washington from Maryland is rated as the No. 18 quarterback in the class. His offers so far include mostly regionally schools like Maryland, Duke, Rutgers, Virginia, Virginia Tech and West Virginia, but the likes of Oregon and Texas A&M are also poking around.

4-star DL Trent Wilson (2025)

According to Steve Wiltfong of 247 Sports, 2025 4-star defensive lineman Trent Wilson will take in the game on Saturday. Rated as one of the top defensive linemen in the country, Wilson is towards the top of the list of elite Mid-Atlantic recruits in the 2025 class.

His offer list includes heavy hitters such as Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Texas and USC. So, a win on Saturday would be huge for the Nittany Lions here.

4-star DL Adam Shovlin (2025)

Originally from Northeast Pennsylvania, 4-star defensive lineman Adam Shovlin attends St. Thomas More in Oakdale, CT. The 6-foot-4, 250-pound Shovlin is one of Penn State’s top defensive targets in the 2025 class. One of his other notable offers is Michigan, so the Nittany Lions getting the best of the Wolverines on Saturday would help the cause with the Pennsylvania native.
