Penn State’s 2024 pro day was all hands on deck Friday, with current and former Nittany Lions appearing in the Lasch Building to help out and support Penn State’s 13 pro day participants.
Along with former Penn State quarterbacks Sean Clifford and Trace McSorley, current Penn State quarterbacks Drew Allar and Beau Pribula made their appearance at Penn State’s 2024 pro day Friday, assisting Theo Johnson and Trey Potts on position work throwing passes.
Drew Allar Puts On a Show
During Theo Johnson’s workout, Allar was able to show his arm strength and accuracy off in front of scouts from around the NFL.
On one route by Johnson, Allar connected with Johnson on a 33-yard pass along the sideline, showing off both Allar’s arm strength and Johnson’s athleticism to catch the ball.

Drew Allar Boosts Theo Johnson’s NFL Draft Stock?
At the NFL combine, Johnson put up an elite workout, posting a Relative Athletic Score of 9.98 out of 10, one of the highest of all time for a tight end. In 2023, Allar and Johnson connected on 34 passes for 341 yards and 7 touchdowns (second most among tight ends nationally).
Allar will be back leading the Nittany Lions again in 2024 and will be eligible to declare for the 2025 NFL draft after the season.
Allar is currently projected as a first-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft by Walter Football’s Charlie Campbell ahead of a pivotal junior year for the Nittany Lions signal caller heading into his second season as Penn State’s starting quarterback. In his first season as the starting quarterback, Allar tied for the Big Ten lead in passing touchdowns, throwing for 2,631 yards and 25 touchdowns compared to 2 interceptions.
Despite struggling against Michigan and Ohio State, Allar was one of the most efficient quarterbacks in the nation last season with a 12.5 touchdown to interception ratio (2nd in the nation).
