Just because Penn State Football was on the bye week, doesn’t mean head coach James Franklin wasn’t a busy man.
Franklin spent much of the week on the road, checking in on Penn State recruiting targets and some of the Nittany Lions‘ commits, both stopping into high schools across the state as well as hitting some games over the weekend.
One of the games Franklin watched from the sideline, was Archbishop Hogan’s 41-7 victory over Central York, checking in on Lions target Elbert Hill.
During the game, Franklin turned heads when he effortlessly hauled in a catch on the sideline of an errant throw:
Sadly, @PennStateFball's @coachjfranklin does not have any @PIAASports eligibility. The 👐are still there… pic.twitter.com/yCVC5pV9Aa

Franklin spent much of Friday night flying the program’s helicopter across the region to get a look at various Penn State recruiting targets. No update on whether he was targeted on any other passes while on the sideline of other games.
Penn State Football returns to action next week against the Wisconsin Badgers at 7:30 p.m. on NBC.
