Former Penn State Football safety Ji’Ayir Brown recorded his first career interception Sunday evening, picking off Baker Mayfield in the endzone on a ball deflected off of another 49ers receiver.

Brown’s interception came at a crucial time for the 49ers, giving the 49ers the ball with a two score lead with less than four minutes to go.

Before being chosen by the Niners, Brown had 16 career takeaways in three seasons for the Nittany Lions, including 10 interceptions, tying him for 12th all-time at Penn State.
