NFL Draft: Tyler Warren a Top-10 Pick in Latest ESPN Mock Draft
The NFL Draft is six weeks away, and now is a perfect time to start discussing what teams will do with the first few picks. The Chicago Bears are among the teams inside the Top 10, and just might need a position that a Penn State standout can fill.
Last year, the Bears took USC’s quarterback Caleb Williams at No. 1 overall, and now this year’s draft is all about getting playmakers around him.
Chicago needs help at the tight end since they released Gerald Everett. The Bears still have tight end Cole Kmet, but he needs a partner to unleash him more.
Tyler Warren Could be an Ideal Fit for The Chicago Bears

On Monday, ESPN’s Field Yates published his new mock draft with the Bears taking Penn State’s tight end Tyler Warren at No. 10.
“Is tight end a primary need for Chicago? No. Is it easy to imagine new coach Ben Johnson dialing up some incredible concepts and play designs revolving around Warren? Oh, yes. Offensive line would have been the clear priority for the Bears, but they totally revamped their interior by trading for guards Joe Thuney and Jonah Jackson and then also signing center Drew Dalman. The trenches already look much better on paper. So, let’s get Warren, who is tremendous after the catch and could help quarterback Caleb Williams in a big way, into the top 10,” Yates wrote.
If the Bears are shopping for help at the skill positions, Warren could be a compelling fit, for several reasons.
Tyler Warren Could be Ben Johnson’s Next Sam LaPorta

Warren would be a dream come true for the Bears, as new head coach Ben Johnson loves using the tight end.
When Johnson was the Detroit Lions offensive coordinator, he took tight end Sam LaPorta and made him a Pro Bowler in his rookie season.
There are a lot of teams Warren can go to that could turn him into a star; however, Johnson and the Bears could make him one of the best tight ends in the league.
