No. 1 Penn State Wrestling vs. Ohio State: Matchups, How to watch, and Prediction for Nittany Lions vs Buckeyes dual meet

No. 1 Penn State Wrestling is hitting the road this weekend and the first stop on their trip is a matchup against No. 8 Ohio State on Friday evening.

In the history of their programs, the Nittany Lions and the Buckeyes have met a total of 38 times. Penn State Wrestling owns a 26-12 overall record in this matchups, however there have been plenty of narrow wins along the way.

Since the now famous “Dual of the Century” back in 2018, the Nittany Lions have rolled up six additional wins against Ohio State. Furthermore, they’ve outscored the Buckeyes 165-62 along the way. But don’t let those stats fool you. And don’t let Ohio State’s 24-13 loss to Iowa and their 20-17 loss to Minnesota also fool you.

When this team is at full strength they can go toe to toe with the best in the country.

However that’s going to be the biggest question going into this dual meet.

Sammy Sasso has been absent from the last two dual meets. And Paddy Gallagher hasn’t seen any action since the Iowa dual. Additionally, will Braeden Davis and Tyler Kasak suit up?

Ask me again Friday night around 8pm.

Enough with the hypotheticals. And before we look at the possible starting lineup and predictions, let’s take a look at how you can tune into Friday’s action.
