Penn State Basketball Fans FIRED UP as Nittany Lions Keep March Madness Hopes Alive
Penn State Basketball picked up arguably the biggest victory of Micah Shrewsberry‘s tenure as head coach, all but securing an NCAA Tournament bid with a 79-76 win over Illinois in the Big Ten Quarterfinals on Tuesday night in Chicago.
The Nittany Lions came out with a very physical victory, and perhaps punched their ticket for only the program’s third March Madness berth since the turn of the century.
Penn State Basketball fans took to Twitter to REJOICE in the win
It's real easy to like this Penn State team. Jalen Pickett is a bucket, Shrew is an excellent coach, love Myles Dread as a gritty role player and they live & die by the three.
If any Big Ten team is going to make an NCAA tournament run, I want it to be them.

Penn State doing something UCLA and Texas couldn't do. Beat Illinois on a neutral floor. Neutral is being kind too since it is in Chicago.

Am I about to live in a world where Penn State is in the NCAA Tourney and North Carolina is in the NIT?

Micah Shrewsberry just constructed the best year for Penn State basketball in over a decade. But people wanted Pat Chambers back 2 weeks ago because his teams were TOUGH! Shrews proved he’s the guy.

Hard to believe that Penn State looks to be headed to March Madness. Perhaps even harder to believe that they're advancing in the B1G tournament with Lundy and Pickett both struggling a bit with shooting in this game.
