Player Profile: The 4.2 Speed That Never Full-Time Started at Penn State

On Thursday, the second Penn State player, cornerback Elliot Washington II, and the first since Campbell’s hiring, was reported to be expected to enter the transfer portal.
Elliot Washington II had a huge buzz coming out of spring and summer camps, flashing his blazing 4.2 speed on the practice field. The junior cornerback has played in 36 career games for the Nittany Lions over three seasons, including all 12 games this season.
Washington recorded 53 tackles, three passes defended, 1.5 tackles for a loss, and one interception in 2025.
Originally a four-star top 200 prospect in the 2023 class from Venice, Florida, Washington will have one more year of eligibility after transferring this offseason.
Washington joins tight end Joey Schlaffer as the two PSU players who have been reported as expected to enter the transfer portal during the portal window in January.
