Penn State Field Hockey Takes On No. 1 North Carolina In NCAA Final Four
Penn State Field Hockey takes a big step towards an NCAA National Championship, taking on No. 1 North Carolina in the Final Four Friday.

The Penn State Field Hockey team, led by legendary coach Char Morett-Curtis, have made their first Final Four since 2007.Â
The Nittany Lions got past Louisville 5-0 in the NCAA Opener and then defeated Albany 1-0 in the quarterfinals in a tightly contested game at the University of Michigan.
The 2022 team won the Big Ten Conference regular season championship, finishing 17-3, 7-1 in conference but were upset by Michigan in the Big Ten Tournament 2-1.
Unfortunately for the Nittany Lions, the level of competition is going to increase significantly as they take on the No. 1 team in the nation, the University of North Carolina Tar Heels in Stoors, Connecticut today at 12:00 pm. Â
The Tar Heels are undefeated this year (19-0, 6-0) and defeating Virginia in the ACC Championship and easily dispatching Delaware in the NCAA Tournament 5-1 and St. Joe’s in the quarterfinals 5-2.
The semifinal starts at 12:00 pm today and can be watched on ESPN +.
