Penn State Football is building a monster 2024 recruiting class, and it has a chance to get even bigger on Friday.
Fresh off of landing 4-star wide receiver Tyseer Denmark on Wednesday, the Nittany Lions look like the front runner for two other top wide receiver targets. Both are set to make their commitment announcement at 7 p.m. on Friday.
Top Penn State Football Targets to Watch
The first is 3-star Peter Gonzalez from Pittsburgh.
The 6-foot-2, 200-pounder attends powerhouse Pittsburgh Central Catholic, where he had 42 catches for 737 yards and eight touchdowns last season. A good combination of size and speed, Gonzalez is an intriguing prospect to keep an eye on.
His other notable offers include Miami, Virginia Tech, Pitt and Wisconsin.

The other target is 4-star Josiah Brown from New York. Brown took an official visit to Penn State last weekend, and was slated to take a trip to Georgia this weekend.
Instead, Brown announced on Thursday that he will commit on Friday night, so that likely eliminates Georgia from the race.
The other team in Brown’s decision is Rutgers, who is the closest in proximity to Brown’s home.
If Penn State were to land both Gonzalez and Brown, this would be a massive week for new wide receivers coach Marques Hagans. He was brought here to stabilize the recruiting situation at receiver and he now is on the verge of landing three of his top targets in a matter of 49 hours or so.
