Penn State Football CB makes ESPN All-American list

Before the start of each season, you have those preseason lists of players to keep an eye on during the season, and so far Penn State Football has been making a lot of noise on a lot of the preseason watch lists.

On Friday, ESPN College Gameday host Reece Davis posted his Preseason All-American list, and the Nittany Lions garnered recognition.

Davis listed Penn State Football cornerback Joey Porter Jr. as a first-team defense selection, on his pre-season All-America list.

During the 2021 season, Porter Jr made 13 starts at cornerback, and finished with 51 total tackles (40 solo), one forced fumble, one interception, and four pass breakups.

This is great to see Porter Jr getting national attention as one of the top cornerbacks in college football.

For the 2022 season, Porter Jr is on the following watch lists:

Bednarik Award
Bronko Nagurski Trophy
Jim Thorpe Award
Lott IMPACT Trophy

Porter Jr. and Penn State Football kickoff the 2022 regular season at Purdue on Sept. 1.
