Penn State Football Commit Kemon Spell Talks 7v7, Upcoming Season, and More
Kemon Spell is one of three committed prospects for Penn State Football in the class of 2027. NittanyCentral caught up with Spell recently to get the latest from the top Running Back in the 2027 class.

Spell Shines in Miami
Recently, Spell went to Miami to compete in the OT7 7 on 7 Playoffs.
“It was nice. It was a fun experience… We came up short in the playoffs, we lost to Level82 but it was a great experience and I can’t wait to be back for this next upcoming season.”
Spell, a future 5-star prospect, said that his 7 on 7 coach reached out to him and asked him to play. Spell added that he “balled out” at a tournament prior to the OT7 Playoffs. Among the 7 on 7 circuit, OT7 is the biggest league of them all. The Penn State commit was among some of the top performers during the OT7 Playoffs and helped his team California Power win a couple playoff games.

Kemon Spell Remains “Locked in” on Penn State
Currently, there is a dead period in recruiting. While players can initiate communication with coaches, coaches cannot. However, other schools were reaching out to Spell prior to the dead period.
“I’m kind of not entertaining it.” Spell said in regard to Ohio State and Notre Dame reaching out to him. “I’m still solid on Penn State and locked in on them.”
What is Spell hearing from those other schools? “They say they want to get me out there, see what the campus is like, and that’s pretty much it right now… My Dad is like ‘since you made the commitment, [be] loyal to Penn State.'”
Penn State Pledge Eyes Big Junior Season
With the fall and therefore football season rapidly approaching, the Penn State Football commit is locking in on his upcoming season.
“We got our whole starting lineup back, just had to upgrade on a few spots.” Kemon Spell stated. That’s the biggest key for us everybody else lost their whole offensive line, or big, key pieces down front, and we got our whole O-Line back.”
Coming off of an 8 win season, Spell aims to raise the expectation.
“Football wise, it’d probably be my leadership and being held accountable for everything.” Spell noted. “I mean like literally everything. Getting every guy to practice, getting every guy to show up, full effort. If something goes wrong I have to get everything in check.”
