Latest Penn State Football Commit Bolsters Trend Along Offensive Line

Penn State Football added another member to its 2025 recruiting class on Sunday afternoon.

The newest addition to Penn State‘s class class is interior offensive lineman Michael Troutman.

From Wayne, NJ, Troutman is listed at 6-foot-2 and 270 pounds. Unless he hits a growth spurt, it looks as though he will be looked at as a center for the Nittany Lions.

Currently without a ranking, Troutman’s other offers include Boston College, Duke, Rutgers, Michigan State, Texas A&M and Pitt.

Considering the work Penn State offensive line coach Phil Trautwein has done recently, he’s earned the benefit of the doubt on talent evaluations.

Over the last couple of cycles, we’ve seen multiple Penn State offensive line commits skyrocket in the rankings and starting relatively low on the rankings list to start the cycle.

Troutman is the 11th commit in the 2025 class for the Nittany Lions and the second offensive lineman, joining Owen Aliciene.

It’s looking like this will be another large recruiting class for the Nittany Lions, as they still don’t have any commits at wide receiver, defensive line or safety.

The class currently ranks No. 6 in the national rankings, although there is a very long way to go in this cycle.
