Arizona Commit, Keytrin Harris Talks Penn State Offer

West Coast native, Keytrin Harris woke up to an official offer from Penn State Football on August 1st.

The Defensive Tackle is an ON3 Industry 3-star currently committed to Arizona. NittanyCentral was able to catch up with Harris and see if the Penn State offer was eye popping to him.

“I am committed to the U of A” Harris said on his stance with Arizona currently. “But my recruitment process is still open. I’m still hearing schools out.”

With things still wide open, the four schools Harris is currently hearing from are Arizona, Cal, Missouri, and Penn State.

One thing that stood out to Harris about Penn State was Coach Deion Barnes and his honesty.

“He was honest with me from the get-go.” Harris explained.

According to Harris, Barnes had a very clear pitch for why he should commit join what the Lions are building up front in Happy Valley.

“[Deion Barnes] said we need guys at this position … He said ‘I’m going to recruit you hard.’ And I said ‘yessir’.” Harris continued on to describe his affinity for Penn State. “Penn State has always been a top 3 school for me ever since I got into high school. So now, to be able to have that offer from them and build that relationship is just a blessing.”

Not only is Keytrin Harris hearing the Nittany Lions out, but he is interested in making the trip to Happy Valley.

“Yeah I’m looking at going up there for one of their games.” Harris told NittanyCentral. “Might have to get out there for their all white game.” Harris added.

The relationship between Harris and the Penn State staff is only just beginning, but is one that has the potential to continue to grow.

Harris is a talented player in the class of 2026. Surprisingly, he started his football career off as a Tight End, but said the game felt slower playing Defensive Tackle. Additionally, Harris has made the jump size wise. He is currently 6-foot-4, 295 pounds, and on Penn State’s radar.
