Penn State Football Recruiting: Nittany Lions Hosting 5-Star Athlete

This weekend, Penn State football recruiting will hold its junior day, and will be hosting one of the top prizes of the 2024 cycle on campus.

2024 five-star athlete in Quinton Martin will be among the Nittany Lions‘ visitors this weekend.

Martin plays at Belle Vernon High School in Western Pennsylvania, and numerous outlets already have him as one of the top 20 juniors in the country, and the No. 1 junior in Pennsylvania.

Penn State Football will have plenty of competitors in the ring for this young man, as the 6’3” 200-pound athlete has offers from Pitt, Ohio State, Florida, Michigan, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.

Martin has kept his recruitment quiet and hasn’t leaked any front-runners yet.

He is a very versatile player, getting snaps at running back, safety, and linebacker. He shows excellent foot speed and may be best suited to be a big, bodied running back.

Martin played on both sides of the ball as a freshman and his stat line as a sophomore was 80-902-12 rushing (11.3 ypc) and 10-164-2 receiving (16.4 avg). He also recorded 18 tackles and one interception. Even more impressive, Martin plays basketball for Belle Vernon as a point guard and put up 19 points and 10 rebounds per game last season.

It’ll be interesting to keep up with his football recruitment process come this weekend.
